DRU - Christmas Sweater

 Hello crafty friends,

I've been on a hunt for Christmas sweaters/sweatshirts for the family the last few days, so I decide to make a card with a few paper sweaters.  Thinking these would make really cute package tags also.

I used this fun die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs called Winter Sweater and some small print pattern paper to die cut three sweaters for my slim card.  I die cut the hanger, sweater trims and reindeer all from white card stock and colored them with Distress ink.  I also inked the card background with Distress ink and spayed it with glimmer mist.

Update:  The Winter Sweater by ECD is not currently available, but Frantic Stamper has this Cozy Sweater and they have another die set with Sweater Icons.

On the inside of the card, I used "Season's Greetings" word dies from the Christmas Stitched Words by Impression Obsession.

Scrapy Land - Challenge 130

Hello crafty friends,

I used the Lawn Fawn Mini Picture Frames to create the two cards I'm featuring in this post.

My blue card is a slim one 8x4 with a distress inked background and a combination of negative and positive die cut snowflakes from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Winter Sweater die set.   The cute animals stamped onto the centers of the picture frames are from Purple Onion Designs by Stacey Yacula.  I kept both the frame and the center of the frames together with a little tape on the back, but colored the centers with the same distress ink.  I love purple, so added a pop of it to each stamped cutie.  A few purple nuvo drops finished this card.

My purple card is slightly bigger than an A2 card.  I once again distressed inked the background and the centers of the die cut frames.  This time I used all four of the mini picture frame die cuts and I pop up the outer frames with foam tape.  The stamped cuties on this card are from the Hello Bluebird Snowball Flight stamp set.

Both card backgrounds were sprayed with Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist after distress inked.

As always, thanks for stopping bye.... I hope you'll join us for this challenge.  One winner... selected randomly will receive a $15 gift code to Scrapy Land.  Top three and honorable mentions will be selected by the Designers.  Until next time... take care

Scrapy Land Challenge #90

Hello crafty friends,

Welcome to the start of Scrapy Land Challenge #90.  Come join us... the theme as always is "anything goes".

For this challenge I created a set of note cards using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Squares.

This first note card features the Adorable Skunk from Frantic Stamper gesturing to a stitched speech bubble die cut with a stamped sentiment. The green stitched panel was also die cut from one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Squares.

This second note card features the Lets Fly bird die by Penny Black and a stamped sentiment. The teal stitched panel was also die cut from one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Squares.

Here's a video showing how I created these note cards:

Thanks for stopping bye.... please join us for this challenge.  The winners... one selected randomly and one selected by the Design Team will both receive a $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.  Until next time... take care.

Scrapy Land Challenge #74

Hello crafty friends,

For Scrapy Land's Challenge #74,  I'm continuing my Halloween  2017 Series with this card:

Which was really quick and easy.  I started by sponging a 5x5 piece of card stock with distress oxide ink (orange) and then sponging on some distress ink (black) using a Tim Holtz spider web stencil.  I die cut a fishtail banner, inked it and stamped my caption.  Placed the banner on my card on foam tape for dimension.  Next I die cut those cute spiders (paper spiders are the only kind of spiders I like).  I die cut them from purple card stock first, but they like them on this background, so ended up die cutting them again from black card stock and just stacking them for a little extra dimension.   I hand drew their web string and added a dot of nuvo drop.   I mounted the panel onto a 5.5x5.5 card and using a black glitter marker went around the edge of the panel for extra interest.

Thanks for stopping bye.... please join us for this challenge.  The winners... one selected randomly and one selected by the Design Team will both receive a $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

Until next time... take care.
