TOB Challenge - Aug Mid Month

Welcome to this month's challenge reminder post.  Have you started working on a card/project?  If yes, GREAT!  If no, WHAT are you waiting for?  We want to see your Halloween creations.   Remember  the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge, runs from the 2nd to the 28th of the month and the theme is always Halloween... I used two of the three landscape scene dies (Creek Bank Creations) and layered them over the tall tree cover die (Scrappy Trails).  Note... I fussy cut the top of the tree cover die, because I didn't want the top frame part.  I'll probably add a moon to the scene.

TOB Challenge - Aug 2024

Welcome to a new month at the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge, which runs from the 2nd to the 28th of the month and the theme is always Halloween... ANYTHING related to Halloween!  

I LOVE this cat!  He's not scary, but I wanted to use him, because of his size.  I die cut the tree cover die (Scrappy Trails) and fussy cut the lower branch that goes across the card.  Instead of using that lower branch, I die cut another section of the tree on the left side and used it at the bottom. I was going for a spooky looking through the trees feel.

Some more Red, White and Blue with a twist of spooky in honor of 4th of July

This card turned out creeper than expect (at least to me).  I used a bat stencil for the background.  Ink blended some blue around the edges.  I found a very old flag die cut element and paired it with a skull stamp by Tim Holtz.  At this point, I felt it still needed something else, so I stamped those distressed spider webs, with are also by Tim Holtz.

A little Red, White and Blue with a twist of spooky in honor of 4th of July
I used Waffle Flower’s Postage Collage die to stamp some spooky images (all from Simon Says Stamps) and used markers and glitter pens to color my stamped images.

TOB Challenge - June Mid Month

I stamped, colored and fussy cut this spooky cute pumpkin head little guy from Sweet November Stamps several times, so I just had to use him again.

For this card, I used a text pattern paper as my background.  An oval frame full of star sequins for a fun shaker element and my pumpkin head kid in front.

Oops! my glitter pen went crazy while brushing on a lite coating of sparkle, but I rolled w/it.

Card is an A2 top folding.  Extra... cat hair on my backdrop.  I can't get away from the stuff.

Card is an A2 top folding.  Extra... cat hair on my backdrop.  I can't get away from the stuff.

I love this pumpkin head little guy from Sweet November Stamps.

I stamped a large spooky house on my card base and inked blended the bottom (path to to house) with Black Soot Distress Oxide.

I stamped, colored and fussy cut the pumpkin head kid and added him to the card front on dimensional foam.
